2026 Na Pali Challenge

Registration Opens July 1

Registration for the 2026 Na Pali Challenge opens on July 1. Please read all requirements before starting your registration. The process has changed from previous years.

Online registration closes Friday, August 1 at 5:00 PM. Registration must be submitted and fees must be paid in full by this time.

Late registrations will be accepted after the August 1 deadline with a fee penalty. No registrations will be accepted after Monday, August 3 at 5:00 PM.

Before You Start

Registration Requirements

Paddler Information

You will need names, dates of birth, and HCRA ID cards for all 12 crew members.

  • All paddlers must be valid in HCRAPaddler.
  • Check with your home association Race Secretary for validation procedures.
  • Indicate during registration whether shuttle services are needed.

Canoe Information

Registration requires the canoe name and color, or an indication that your crew needs to borrow a canoe.

  • KOA will make every effort to have canoes available for off-island crews.
  • Canoe availability is not guaranteed. Please plan accordingly.
  • If you need to ship a canoe, review the shipping information.

Escort Boat Information

You will need the escort boat name, HA number, captain name, and HCRA Escort Form.

  • All escort boats must complete the HCRA Escort Registration online.
  • Escort boat owner and captain must complete and sign the HCRA waiver.
  • Vessel registration must be uploaded to the online form.

Escort Registration Details

The escort boat registration fee is $100. This provides insurance for any KOA/HCRA sanctioned race for one calendar year, not only the Na Pali Challenge.

Once the HCRA Escort Registration is completed, you will receive PDF confirmation of your submission. Upload that PDF to your Na Pali registration.

As an alternative, escort boats may provide proof of insurance with CGL limits of $1,000,000.

Any changes to escort boat or escort information must be made no later than 24 hours before the race start.

Required Meeting

Mandatory Coaches Meeting

A mandatory coaches meeting will be held in Hanalei on Friday, August 7 at 5:00 PM at Waiʻoli Huiʻia Church, Mission Hall .

Registration packages and canoe numbers will be distributed at this meeting. If there is no team representative at the coaches meeting, your canoe will not have a number and will not be allowed to compete.
